Ryan Miller

IT Coordinator

Born and raised in Dalton, GA, Ryan was in church from the time her parents could take her out of the house as a baby. She was baptized at age 15 at youth camp and graduated from Boyd-Buchanan High School in Chattanooga, TN. She attended Harding University in Searcy, AR for a year as a music major, before changing her major to nursing and moving home. She graduated with her Associates Degree as a Registered Nurse in 2003, and later obtained her Paramedic Certification in 2005. She has been a Critical Care RN working in post-op open heart surgery recovery, ER, flight nursing, and as a paramedic. Ryan returned to school later and obtained her Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology, Software Engineering in 2013. In 2015, she went to work for GE Healthcare, where she is currently employed as a Clinical Application Specialist, training nurses and doctors to use technology to better care for people. After having not been in church for a long period of time, Ryan realized that she needed Jesus more than ever. In July of 2021, she began attending Friendship and rededicated her life to Christ and His work. She became involved in the church very quickly, first in the Music Ministry as the guitarist, and then assisting with technology needs as necessary. In 2022, she was invited to take on the role of IT Coordinator for the church, where she now continues to serve to meet the technological needs of the congregation and reach the community and world for Christ. Her primary goal in ministry is to use the knowledge God gave her and the technology available to us to to reach people and follow the command of Christ in Matthew 28:19-20 to "go therefore and make disciples of all the nations..."
